New Virtual Keypad Available for DSC Alarm Systems
As an added benefit to our valued clients, Vermillion Systems has recently begun offering another exceptional suite of add-on alarm products. As part of the DSC virtual keypad line-up, clients using this new technology can now access their alarm system from their computers and smartphones to conduct a host of tasks including remote arming, disarming, and system status look-up. Clients are also using this service to turn lights on and off remotely, monitoring temperatures and humidity in vacation homes, opening and closing garage doors, and viewing live camera shots inside and outside of their homes and businesses.
Many parents are also taking advantage of the e-mail notification system that is standard with this virtual keypad. The e-mail notification can be configured to send a message when their child has arrived from school, disarmed the alarm, and then rearmed the system in Stay mode.

With a manufacturing facility located in Mishawaka, IN, WellPet is the local producer of healthy and natural pet products. They believe in promoting nutrition and healthy, active lifestyles. As part of a bid offering, Vermillion Systems was able to present a cost effective program which implemented a security package which met the needs and budget of the WellPet executive team.
Continuing to work with the Instant Auto Finance group has been a great experience for Vermillion Systems. Having begun by protecting their new Goshen facility, Vermillion Systems was uniquely positioned to serve Instant Auto's newest location on North Keystone Avenue in Indianapolis. Since this newest and ninth location is a true Super Store with a complete auto repair facility in-house, it required extensive planning in order to meet the expectations of the owner and the schedule of the builder. On-time and on-budget, Vermillion Systems delivered a first-class security package at this dealership, complete with a full spectrum of theft prevention, system monitoring, and full reporting capabilities.
New Gun Dealer - Grovertown, IN
Vermillion Systems is proud to be a part of our area's newest firearm dealer. Designed and built to follow an Old West theme, this new business is state of the art even though the appearance is from times past. Given the nature of the business and since it will operate adjacent to the heavily traveled US 30 near Plymouth, a complete security package was in order. After meeting with the proprietors and understanding their specific needs, Vermillion Systems acted quickly to propose and install a complete security solution that monitors the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is an exciting venture that is sure to meet the needs of firearm enthusiasts.
Gary Public Transportation Corporation - Bus Maintenance Facility
Providing an efficient transit system designed to meet the employment, social, and medical needs of the citizens of Gary, IN is the key focus of Gary Public Transportation Corporation (GPTC). In order to be most effective, their buses and equipment need to be in top working order day in and day out. In order to keep their buses moving continually, GPTC operates a large transportation maintenance facility.
Through a public bid process, Vermillion Systems was recently awarded the contract to add an electronic access control system to this bus maintenance facility including the slide gates and various interior doors. With the use of long range proximity readers and powerful credentials located in municipal buses, Vermillion Systems was able to automate the entrance and exit of the buses to the facility allowing the bus traffic to flow smoothly and maintain the standard of efficiency that is so critical to the users of this service. By automating the process, labor costs were reduced and driver activity is more carefully monitored creating a very efficient operation. Vermillion Systems enjoyed learning about the unique challenges of GPTC during the course of this project.

Lagrange County Library – New Topeka Branch
Vermillion Systems has recently completed a new Panasonic security installation at the New Topeka Branch Library in Topeka, IN. Part of the Lagrange County Library system, the new Topeka branch features 6,000 square feet of efficient, functional, and adaptable library and community space. Vermillion Systems was awarded the security contract in November 2008 and began working immediately. The library is a beautiful facility and we are proud to have been a part of it.
Ivy Tech North Central – New Expanded Orthopedic And Manufacturing Training Center
Vermillion Systems was also awarded the bid in early 2009 for the installation of a fully integrated security package at the new Ivy Tech North-Central in Warsaw, IN. Working with the General Contractor, VanVactor Construction, Vermillion met the very tight schedule and kept the project on track. While the details of the systems provided for the new OMTC are confidential, we can say that they provide comprehensive facility protection. This is the most recent project in which Vermillion has supported Ivy Tech and we always enjoy the privilege of working with Indiana’s largest college when an opportunity presents itself.
